Pros

On the Easier side and give some raises but no more than like $0.75 and gives bonuses but if you don't have dependents, your left with 1/4 of the bonus after Tax.

Cons

They tend to take advantage of you if you start learning diffrent departments and have you covering more than 2 departments in your shift with no raise. They will pay new hires more than the people that have been there for years. They are not flexible with the schedule, you will need to submit your availability about 2 months in advanced and might still get rejected as well as vacation and holiday time. Store manager will reject your holiday time off if you are scheduled even if you have enough time to cover it. If you are young, they will Fire you or write you up for talking to any other younger associate. Unless you are a pretty female, males get paid more and then blame it on a system glitch. The store manager does not know anything about the store and only sends emails all day as well as harass employees about getting their online training done over any of your actual work. There are also racist employees as well as the store manager who does not take Disciplinary action after several complaints about the racist employees.

Favouritism in teams and less recognition for hard work!

Pros

Nice office space, good environment, flexibility in work, good bonus. Overall not the best in market but still good salaries.

Cons

Favouritism and Groupism in several teams. The onshore team is given preference over employees in Bengaluru. Less chances of promotions if stayed for long in the organisation. Less recognitions for the hard work as well.

Pros

I've worked as a cashier, return's associate (customer service representative), and paint/electrical/plumbing/seasonal associate while at Lowe's. My greatest recommendation is to stay away from cashiering and customer service if you do not like confrontation. The best department to work in is paint followed by plumbing and electrical. Seasonal can be a hit or miss depending on if you like constant change. Once you're in cashiering and customer service (returns desk) they will try 99% to not let you move into a department. The only lateral movement is to become a head cashier.

Cons

Just turned 18, still in high school, I was started off at $10.13 an hour. One of my male co-workers (who started 4-5 months after me, did not have previous work experience, and went to the same school I was at) got a starting pay of $12.00. Unfortunately, this was a common theme when working for Lowe's. Also, we were made to work 40 hours for 3 weeks, then the forth week we couldn't exceed 38 hours. Later found out the reason behind this was so we wouldn't be moved from part-time to full-time. I never received a pay raise while at the company, until I left the company for personal reasons since they do not offer FMLA if you've worked under a year. When I came back I received $11 and some change. My most increased amount I earned at Lowe's was $12.01.
