      Dear Reviewer, Thank you for the time you took in letting us know of your experience at N26. As you have mentioned, being a fast growing startup in Europe and building a mobile bank is not easy. From September 2016 to December 2016, we were in a period of migration that required us to move more than 200,000 customers from our previous platform provider to our very own platform. This transition which was required given our success in obtaining a full banking licence required most of our teams to put in extra amount of time to ensure a successful migration.       Interesting Product, Interesting Challenge

      Pros

      I personally find the product to be very interesting and it's also one of the main reason why I'm still working here. For the tech, there is also a lot of unique fintech related challenges which could be very interesting to solve. And looking to the future, there are even more more interesting things to expect from the company tech-wise.

      Cons

      Sometimes it could be a bit stressful, and the almost process-free startup style is also not very helping. These are improving, but they haven't quite caught up yet.

After all, passionate experts are the force that moves us forward with the speed of a rocket. We want to keep them happy and create an environment, which enables them to reach their full potential. Therefore, we take any advice on possible improvements seriously and constantly work on implementing and improving processes. That is not always easy, as we are growing quickly and often learn on a go, but we learn from mistakes and are fully committed to making N26 more aligned structurally.

      Not a great place anymore

      Pros

      Some people were cool but most of them already got laid off, the company name is still good in your CV but it’s a place to stay for a bit and then leave.

      Cons

      Very political environment across most departments, the people who get promoted are the not the ones who necessarily deserve it, very uninspiring, sometimes incompetent and often inexperienced leaders. Employees known it, but don’t bother to say it, as the feedback culture doesn’t work the same for everyone. Benefits are not competitive at all and no budgets to work with, just big unrealistic expectations. Great employees are leaving in big numbers nowadays.
