      Chaotic procedures und management, they never succeeded to merge the 2 companies Siemens and Nokia together.

      Pros

      Freedom to work in the manner you like to work. Working from home is possible. Lunch meal is contributed.

      Cons

      Nobody is responsible for project failures, but everybody has proposals to do it better. Too many mangers and they always know it better. Many selfish collegues. Management has no idea of improving the company really. Managment contradict themselves (so you know they are simply lying) Internal procedures becomes more complicated

      Pros

      The Berlin office of Nokia has a good personality and is a reasonably ethical atmosphere. They support free thinking and individualism. It also has a very good restaurant and nightlife culture nearby, making it a easy cultural environment for lunch and outside of work.

      Cons

      It was slightly autistic there, in that they seem to be remaking the same software again and again and never getting it right.

      Pros

      German work laws as well as conditions achieved through union negotiations result in an extremely flexible work environment, both strictly limiting overtime as well as allowing the accumulation of hours for combining with vacation days, allowing frequent and long vacations.

      Cons

      It is a large company whose employee actions are mostly driven by short sighted provincialism with regard to protecting ones own job/pet project/influence, etc. Essential business decisions remain unmade over several years, while one "team" after another is tasked with recommending the best decisions, the recommendations then dutifully ignored.
