Pros

Biggest Pro: Cross functionality mixed with upward mobility makes long term career promising! Great experience for new college hire, huge name growing company, strong interraction with a variety of types of people and functions/departments, work/life balance, potential career growth seems promising, supportive people/environment, constantly learning new things

Cons

Biggest con: Experienced analysts are overwhelmed with too much to handle and new hires aren't given the needed attention/training to feel valuable. Other cons: Location, very steep learning curve and minimal training, MUST be able to figure things out for yourself, emphasis is placed on work/life balance but (practically) it doesn't always happen (e.g. 9/80 schedule, mod time, etc.), huge age gap (90%+ are baby boomer generation) and few new hires make it difficult to relate/learn, have left for the day feeling down/bad about myself on multiple occassions

Pros

The job security is great. You can probably do below average work forever and never have to worry about getting axed because it would be too much of a hassle. However, the people in my specific department are competent and definately seem to know what they are doing. Co-workers are friendly and respectful. From what I hear though, different business segments of Ray can have a completely different working environment. Luck definately plays a part!

Cons

After looking around, the pay seems to be a little below average but too late now I guess. There is a clear generation gap between the older generation that are reaching retirement age in the company and the new wave of young professionals coming in. I don't know if sometimes the older people are afraid too talk to me or just think they're too good...

Pros

9/80 schedule is great if you just strive to be part of the worker bee population.

Cons

Managers have no work/life balance.
