Pros

One of the best-executed work-life balance environments I've experienced in Porto's corporate landscape Fair benefits during employment and reasonable exit terms upon termination Genuine trust in employees to manage their own time and commitments with minimal micromanagement

Cons

An unexpected shift in organisational values, particularly around employee retention and job security Limited growth opportunities for those unwilling to engage in corporate politics; consistent hard work goes unrecognised unless you continuously advocate for yourself within the "right" parts of the organisation Siloed working culture with a striking lack of knowledge sharing and roadmap clarity; the environment often feels like "each for their own" despite productive team dynamics

Pros

Strong commitment to sustainability and clean energy. Opportunities to work with global teams and advanced technologies. Good intentions around diversity and women empowerment. Many hardworking employees who genuinely care about the company’s success

Cons

The “Operational Reset” feels more like a buzzword than a meaningful initiative; cost-saving measures often lack credibility among employees. Extremely top-heavy structure with too many Managers, Specialists, Directors, VPs, and SVPs—many having very few reportees. Instead of optimizing at the leadership level, restructuring efforts often affect hardworking employees lower in the organization. Recognition practices can sometimes feel biased—empowerment initiatives should not overshadow merit, effort, or performance. Frequent comparisons with competitors despite hiring employees for different roles and expectations. Communication from leadership can feel disconnected from operational realities.
