Pros

If you want to get your hands on many different projects this is a good place to work. there are always multiple far reaching projects happening concurrently. there is also much job knowledge to be gained here from those far reaching projects.

Cons

the way in which people are promoted/rewarded is not always based on job performance. there seems to be a skewed work load across all of the business units as the same people are tapped for leadership/heavy lifting roles on every big project. while it's great experience, we are rarely compensated for the work that is completed for these jobs.

Pros

Feels like a small, family business, yet has resources of large global corporation. Management is focused on improving our performance across the board, including ensuring that employees are recognized and given opportunities for advancement. My leadership group has been given a lot of leeway in managing their performances, yet have the assistance of senior management to support them as needed.

Cons

Like many companies, in today's environment, there is a lot of work across the board, meaning long hours.

Pros

The executive leadership of Wolters Kluwer have developed a sound strategy for maintaining or attaining lead positions within the various markets in which it competes.

Cons

Multiple staff reductions over the past few years has left remaining staff accountable for more responsibilities than can be maintained at prior levels of quality and competency. However the company has begun to rebuild staff numbers with new hires better suited to the changing work.
