      Pros

      I don't see any advantages following the announcement of layoffs. The benefits offered are good, but not excellent.

      In the last four years, Zalando had the ups and downs of a large tech/e-commerce organization during the Corona pandemic. Unfortunately, poor investment decisions and over-hiring led to challenging times for the company. The announcement of layoffs in February sparked a period of uncertainty and confusion that lasted for three months, causing internal conflicts within departments. During these times, Zalando should have stepped up and made the right decisions to support its employees. Therefore, I strongly advise anyone against considering Zalando as a safe place to work at the moment.

We try to create transparency and take the time to keep all Zalando employees informed on our Zalando Group Strategy. In light of the simplification of our organisation, this means that we try to nurture an active exchange between teams, across business units. We understand that the restructuring program causes uncertainty, and we’re trying to support our employees along the way as best as we can, both structurally for teams and individually for employees. For instance, Zalando is offering support and counselling to employees and their family or household members through our internal Employee Assistance Service (EAS) and our external Employee Assistance Program (EAP). - Talent Acquisition Team
