I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RBC (North Vancouver, BC) in Nov 2009
Interview
I applied online with resume and cover letter. I got a call for an interview promptly and had a brief phone interview to see what position I was interested in. Two managers interviewed me for the position which were pleasant and standard interview questions. I had partial university completed but did have my CSC already in process and genuine interest in finance industry which I believe helped me get the job. I did also express my interest in progressing into an Account Management role.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RBC (Toronto, ON) in Dec 2012
Interview
- I applied it online: Client Service Representative with specific language requirement (GTA)
- 1st Phone call: ~10 mins; the recruiter briefly introduced the position, asked some basic background questions (why do you want to work at RBC? your availability...etc) and language proficiency; she then sent me pre-screen question and personality test to complete
- 2nd Phone call: she called me back 2 days later and wanted to set a phone interview with me next day.
- Phone interview: ~45 mins; she asked about your education and detail of your past experience; 3 behavioural questions; when the interview was done, she told me the result immediately and would pass my application to next step right away. (she said she would usually go over it and give a call after one week, but she thought I am good to move on right away) Few hours later, she has already made an appointment with the client care manager of one of the branches in my selected district.
- 1:1 interview: ~40 mins: the manager was so nice and positive, basically we were like chatting and she asked about my background, personality in between our conversation.
- I received the offer by email a week later.
PS. RBC recruitment is very professional. The assigned recruiter is responsible for your application from the beginning to the end. You can always contact her by phone and email.
