Pros

Free Drink(s)- technically according to EG Policy only allowed 1 small drink per shift. 30% off on drinks, merch, food - pretty useless discount considering it can only be used at Eurogarages Starbucks stores, which are mostly at motorway services. Also you are only allowed to use the discount for yourself and not any friends or family that may be with you (cheap scum :L). Nice staff - Only other pro I can think of.

Cons

Pay - £7.83 an hour (for 18+ I believe), I suppose it is better than minimum wage. Also in one month they 'made a mistake' with payroll and overpaid staff and took it back on the next payslip which in 5-6 years of working I have never had happen. Breaks - not paid, although this is the norm with most jobs nowadays Contract - Hired on a basis that I would be available for full time fully flexible ~ 36hrs, 2-3 months later and due to store hours being cut I was dropped to 11hrs for 1 or 2 weeks, ended up getting a second job working for Sainsburys (which by the way is a much better company to work for). Clock-in/Clock-out - If you clock in early you won't get paid any extra, if you clock in late you'll get docked pay, same in reverse, if you clock out late because you have been busy then your not gonna get paid any extra. I personally never bothered using the clock in system for this reason. Hours- Shifts can be from 5:45am in the morning for earlies, and until 6:30pm in the evening. Management - Feel sorry for the supervisors, given they get 50p extra to do a considerable amount of extra work. Can't speak for the new manager that came in as I left, but for several weeks we had no manager and the previous manager was an absolute moron who never did any work, was incapable of proper stock management and had a poor attitude towards people. Area manager only cared about pushing the business' ridiculous targets which given the environment (Starbucks set inside hospital grounds) and customer base : hospital staff mostly, they are not going to want to have their time wasted on up-selling pastry items and trying to be sold a Starbucks card.

Pros

Hours can be ok if you don't get called in to cover fake sickies but non other than that

Cons

Min wage to watch their greedy overpriced fuel roll in and deal with complaints every day from customers, having to pay for customers fuel if they leave the shop without paying even though you are not allowed to run after them. No discounts, no reachable bonus along with false promises and the threat of disaplinary if you miss a mystery shopper, constant feeling of being watch by CCTV whilst on shift
