Pros

My pod lead and coworkers were the only positive part of this job. They were professional, supportive, and genuinely cared about each other, which made the environment somewhat bearable despite everything else.

Cons

I was hired as a remote worker and had never worked in the office, so the return-to-office mandate made no sense. With the little money I was making, the commute would have drained my paycheck with tolls and gas, and I shared a car, making it practically impossible to comply. We worked for GlobalLogic on behalf of Google, and almost everything revolved around Google’s impossible standards. GlobalLogic, acting as the middleman, did nothing to protect or support employees and often made conditions worse. Upper leadership consistently prioritized appearances and cost-cutting over employee well-being, and most people were discouraged from talking directly to Google to “stay professional,” which created unnecessary barriers. Quality control standards got worse over time and became impossible to meet, while HR policies added frustration instead of solving problems. My raise over more than two years was about 30 cents. Promotions were almost nonexistent. Layoffs were constant, often followed by waves of new hires at lower pay. The job was emotionally draining and broke me. Even now, in a much more forgiving and respectful environment, I’m still on edge from the stress caused by this workplace. Both GlobalLogic and Google share responsibility for a toxic, unsustainable work environment, but GlobalLogic consistently made things worse.

Pros

Remote work. That's about it.

Cons

Abborhant leadership. Horrible communication updates and they do not know what they are doing.. policy changes last minute that are then back peddled. For the Google Austin RMI project, they laid off people accidentally then reversed it.. then laid off a bunch more people some with zero info just deactivated accounts. They are squeezing every penny out of Google without any concern for pay for people doing the actual work. They've cut benefits, increased quota, avoid employing people directly and are subcontracting at lower pay rates. Pay equality does not exist. Now that the foundation of the project has been built they are starting to move things offshore. The latest negative is no social interactions permitted in work spaces/chats. They are actively crushing any criticism or attempt to organize for worker's rights. Lots of project leadership has left. Also, they claim to be a US company but there is zero diversity among upper leadership with everyone being in India with some claiming they are in California (but still work India hours...) AVOID IF YOU ARE IN THE US!

Pros

-Stable Organization (no hire and fire culture) -Good office infrastructure -Good organization for Developers (generally no client calls in late night, good compensation as well)

Cons

-If you are joining Globallogic as a Business Analyst, Product Owner/Product Manager, you will find a start up culture. -There is a Business Consulting Group (set of POs, PMs and BAs) and delivery side (Engineering Managers, developers) -Since its a service based Organization, less opportunity to actually work as a Product Manager. Mostly product is owned by client and you need to contribute as a Business Analyst in project (doing documentation, writing user stories). -Other than that BSC leadership also wants you to contribute in other multiple areas related to consulting, presales, operations etc with no extra benefit in compensation. -And Engineering Managers expects you to work as Scrum Master/Team Lead/Manager (in short taking all additional responsibilities of managing team that developer don't want to take) -Mostly projects are US based and flexible working hours means start your day from morning 10:00 am and end up in night at 10:00 PM after client calls. -So, you end up spending 12 hrs a day acting as Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Team Lead, Pre sales consultant, interviewer etc etc etc with no additional benefits in compensation. But rare chance of getting chance to act as a Product Owner because of service based (client driven) culture. -NP is 90 days (but always wants candidate who can join immediately) and your leaves can't be adjusted in NP as only 4 leaves can be carry forwarded for next year. HR's never respond to your query, they are only hired to make Rangoli's. -Too late in responding to queries of ex employees related to fnf.
