Terrible Pay, Fascinating Work

Pros

The work, for a Fortune 10 company, is interesting and innovative.

Cons

The compensation is way below the value that analysts contribute to the project— an MA or PhD is a *requirement* but the pay is akin to being back in grad school. It’s shameful. The president of the company, in an All Hands company-wide meeting, suggested analysts should acquire more experience. Again, an advanced degree is a requirement for the position. Global Logic doesn’t value their people, it’s that simple.

Pros

Flexibility, learning new technologies, technical competency practices and forums

Cons

Work life balance: No work life balance. Work: They hire new Android developers and expects them to be productive in automation(new technology) in 10 days. Company Mantra: “Client is God”, company cannot challenge story points estimated by client. Whatever client expect we have to deliver. To achieve unrealistic targets, it is expected to work late night, even on weekends. Increments: Very poor, company never cares about old employees. They only give importance to old employees if they are on Notice period.

Pros

The biggest pro Work life balanced has now become to cons category with the launch of 9 hrs mandatory rule. Thanks anyways, this FINALLY might give inspiration to many fools specially married ones to get paid better in any other company & spend 9 hrs

Cons

Very poor employee benefits: - Very poor appraisals, many last year didn't even get upto inflation rate hike. - First annual parties were stopped, wifi for mobs was stopped, town hall snacks were stopped, water bottles were revoked, who knows what coming next, Water, chairs, or electricity ? - No subsidised/non-profit food, a Plate costs you 150/- in cafeteria. You know what it costs in other companies. - Highly poor n full of attitude HR/Res Managing /support etc. Same problem with mostly Band 3. Main problem lies with whom are here from last 10+ years. They think they own the company and you are just a slave. - Some projects are really really poor which uses off the market technologies and business domains. - You need to give at least 4 times the efforts to get you recognised. People doing less than that gets nothing once, twice & again and thus goes to 'I don't care now' Zone. HR policy needs to be blamed here again, the lowest category, monthly spot is to be given to ONLY 3% employees in a project and ITS A JOKE THAT LAST SPOTS WERE GIVEN IN MY PROJECT WAS 8 MONTHS AGO. Still don't who to be blamed, Highly busy Band 3 or HR.
