Poor management at the company

Management above direct supervisor is rarely technical. Too many levels of management. Very much a marketing led company. Very risk adverse and short term revenue mind set. Poor performances based bonus incentives. Raises/Promotions require political hoops.

Upper management might be a little out of touch

growing opportunities are limited in remote locations

Work life balance and management

The usual wild card of middle management. Some are incredibly supportive of you and your growth. Others only care about how they look and what you could do for them.

Forced transfers to worse fabs are a real concern, and management needs to step up. Job security is also questionable.

Pay increase is manager dependent and there is no consistent stance on when a employee should receive significant increase in salary and job grade (Very manager opinion dependent)
