      Pros

      Plenty of over time available. They supply all the gear and tools you need to do your job.

      Cons

      Vestas does not take injuries seriously. Vestas lawyers in work comp belittle and take advantage of employees, instead of prioritizing employee's overall health and wellness. All they want is for you to get back to work and for it to look good on paper- no regard for your quality of life.

      Pros

      Steady year round work for fellows who never had that before , good blue collar environment keeping a fellow busy year round. A Christmas party paid time off. All things your average Joe road construction guy would never have options to, but boom vestas gives me that so now I do. They also didn’t mind all my experience was with other blue collar work that wasn’t too difficult. They’ll take a average blue collar guy and give them the training.

      Cons

      Unfortunately the cons are they drop you in the deep end. I think vestas doesn’t give enough leadership sometimes and guys like me are left to talking to engineers which I’m entirely not equipped for. The hours can be super long on gearbox exchanges and major components and bolt swaps. Can be very stressful and I wish there was more guys that would be sent to help. But unfortunately it’s every site for themselves basically. Ie the guys at a wind turbine site with 60 towers will always be there they’ll never travel elsewhere usually to help other multi dozen wind turbine facilities.
