I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Singapur) in Dec 2019
Interview
After applying online, the candidate will be required to do a video interview consisting of a series of questions. Following which, there will be a call by the recruiter and if you pass that, you will proceed on with an online interview consisting of two parts (a product demo and a role play + short interview). The final round of the interview consists of a product demo and 2 face-to-face interviews conducted at HubSpot office.
The entire interview process was a great and positive experience for me. My recruiter, Charmaine, was really quick to respond to any questions i have regarding the interview and the role and she also made sure to gather the feedback from the interviewers and check-in with me to aid me in preparing for the interviews. The team at HubSpot was really quick in getting back to me and they also took the time and effort to provide feedback during on what I did well and the things I can work on even though I was just a candidate.
Overall, I had a positive interview experience!

Interview
Submitted my application online, got an email saying they liked my CV and would like to move forward with the interview process.
Did the Video Interview which was a little nerve wrecking as time was limited so you really do have to summarize your answers on the spot.
Then got an email saying they would like to proceed with a phone call interview with the HR, so I scheduled it.
I spent a few days preparing for it, researched about the company, watched Hubspot's YouTube channel to learn everything from their company to what it means to be a hubspotter. Even did the Inbound Marketing course to prepare myself for the phone interview. Read glassdoor's interview reviews on Hubspot and it was overall excellent for most people.
BUT sadly for my case it wasn't, the phone interview was really unpleasant. She was on time which I respected because I was already prepared on the dot. Yes I admit I was nervous in the beginning and I think the interviewer could tell but she did nothing to make it better which is not her job so I will not fault her for it. She sounded like a robot and her response was clearly scripted, showed no interest whatsoever on the phone, even her "Great" sounded disingenuous and the whole thing threw me off because it was a complete opposite to the other reviews I've read on Glassdoor. I did my best to answer her questions and when it came to my turn to asking her questions, she made it seem as though I was asking dumb questions even though they were legitimate.
Halfway through the interview I knew I didn't stand a chance not because of how I responded, but because I could tell by her tone. I will not name her because I don't want to throw her under the bus in any way despite my disappointment. Overall it felt like she couldn't wait for it to be done. Truly disappointing Hubspot, really not what I expected with this one.

Interview
The interview process was challenging but definitely one of the better interview experiences I’ve had. First, I received an invite to do a timed video interview. After I was successful, I spoke with HR over a call. The subsequent stage was then a roleplay and product demonstration with managers. I didn’t progress into the next round unfortunately. Overall, it was a structured process and I went through the different interviews quite quickly.
I enjoyed how the different interviewers were professional yet made me feel comfortable during the chats I had with them. I was also pleasantly surprised at the effort the HubSpot team puts into the process. I was given preparation tips by HR before my interviews and even feedback on areas I can work on even though I was not successful. Though I’m disappointed I have not been selected, it was a great interview and learning experience altogether.
